Where religion signifies the inner experience which reveals to the mind the real meaning and purpose of life , it is the very soul of culture ; but where it is used for the external form in which the inner experience has crystallised itself , it is only a part of it . जहां धर्म , आंतरिक अनुभूतियों के महत्व को प्रकट करता हैं , जिससें जीवन के अर्थ और उद्देश्य का ज्ञान हो , वह संस्कृति की मूल आत्मा है , किंतु जहां धर्म का प्रयोग बाह्रा रूप में होता है , जिसमे आंतरिक अनुभूतियां प्रतिबिंबित होती हैं , वह संस्कृति का एक अंश मात्र रह जाता है .
